Samsung is continuing on its new strategy of embracing robotics to bring their smart TVs to life. They have just introduced an innovative new set-top box which will allow a Samsung TV to control a small robotic arm that lets you control your TV. The Samsung Smart TV can control all the parts on the TV, from changing settings and switching inputs, to adjusting the brightness and color of your TV.

Samsung said the new Home TV Box which was unveiled during their recent press conference is ready for developers to build apps for Samsung Smart TVs and will be available for the first time later this holiday season, possibly in late January. The Samsung Smart TV Box is expected to run on the Android-based OS Tizen, adding a host of hardware features Samsung is known for, including HDR for higher contrast and less noise, the first Tizen-based set-top box capable of 4K HDR video streaming. The new Samsung Smart TV Box also includes Android and iOS application integration to deliver video and data services to your home via your smartphones, tablets and Smart TVs.

The Samsung Smart TV comes pre-loaded with a collection of apps ranging from motion sensing and remote controls to access to video cameras and gaming. Tizen-based Smart TVs will support all Samsung apps; Tizen-based Smart TVs that support apps from Google, Samsung and Amazon can not be programmed to support these apps.

Samsung claims that it is one of the most productive TV manufacturers in Asia with over 3,000 workers, which is expected to double to 3,800 in 2018, with all part of that increase coming from expanding into Southeast Asia. Samsung’s growing presence in Southeast Asia is seen in the recent launch of Samsung MOLLE for their smart TVs, Samsung’s recent move into the U.S. to build their own showrooms is not unlike Sony’s recent purchase of AMC Networks and the growth of the TV industry is very much in sync with increasing sales in the region.

In a follow-up post on Google and Motorola’s relationship, we noted how the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL and other Google devices will have access to the Pixel’s Google Assistant which is present on other Google devices like the Nexus 6P. We noted that the Pixel 2 and 2 XL are still not yet supporting “Pixel Launcher” and the “Google” screen (aka Google Assistant). Other devices are likely to be added before the end of the year.

We can expect to see other phones supporting this version soon.

As for this post-launch update, you can start it up in any way you want. It does NOT impact your existing backup. For those interested in the details, the update includes a new default theme, the “G” theme for a few phones (the S7/S7 edge is apparently the only G one that doesn’t have this option enabled), Android 5.1.1 Oreo, security updates, more Google apps, and a bunch of minor bug fixes - please do NOT upgrade to any new ROMs until Android N is finished and Google+ is updated.

However, according to a report from The Register UK , the exploit is not in its final form or it has not been tested against Intel processors. These reports suggest that the researchers are still at work, however we are in no situation to know what the research team were able to extract from the target. Intel’s patch has been implemented on some of their processors for several years now and it has been acknowledged for its effectiveness. However, an attack using the latest exploit could have a massive impact, not only on the targeted consumer with their PC, but potentially also on the computers of other organisations looking for systems which are vulnerable to backdoors, malware, or data leaking backdoors. On the other hand, we do not think that the attack will have the same impact as the latest Intel patches have on consumer devices, since the devices themselves are not targeted and are not at risk. In any case, the attack is quite serious on a technical level, since it has to date been unable to use any of Intel’s security patches to exploit the attack, despite Intel providing the necessary patches in their security bulletin after the vulnerabilities were disclosed the most recent December 2016. If the latest patch is not available then the attack may not find any other way to access Windows or other security tools such as MS14-048. There were also reports of the attack using a different form of encryption, but these too have not been able to be confirmed. Intel’s patch is the one that has helped stop the exploit from working in the past, however, if they do not have a patch that can disable this new attack then the vulnerability may find a place in a future attack.

The Register comments : What’s more, those who attempt to download the exploit can also download the same file without the patch. So this is not a mere patch and so can still be used for a second attack. Indeed, the Microsoft Security Bulletin said:

“In order to protect organizations, we have released patches to address vulnerabilities in WinMTR v1.1.7 and v1.1.8. If users have installed or are considering installing these patches (including non-current installations), they are encouraged to upgrade to those versions before installing any other products or updating to this bulletin. He’ll bid $1.48 million for the ranch of 865 acres north of the Hollywood and Highland malls, for which he is selling. He expects to sell about 700 acres in Westwood, where there are apartments, warehouses, a horse farm and a horse training center. He has bought a 50-acre block that lies west of the Beverly Center and west of the Hollywood and Highland (including the Hollywood Forever Plaza) for $1.15 million. And he’s asking $3.04 million for a one-acre ranch near Santa Monica, which includes a 3.6-megawatt turbine generating station and a 1.5-megawatt solar array. Since March 2, Criss has sold 25 lots. Last month, he sold the 975-acre Santa Ana County ranch northeast of Malibu for $2 million, and he may sell a 700-acre farm northwest of the Malibu Airport.

Last week in Bel-Air, Michael Douglas got a raise from his third wife, singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani, not enough to stop his divorce from actress Sienna Miller. Douglas is asking $1.1 million for his new Bel-Air home, which includes a 1,000-seat country music theater where they have been married for 31 years, and it includes a guest house, pool, and a guest house with tennis court and a guest house with a pool and a barbecue. He has seven cars and he sold the two others that were in the mansion.

The actor is also in negotiations to buy a Bel-Air house for his second wife, model Jennifer Aniston, but she has not commented on the news.

The $7.6-million listing for Tijuana’s 548-acre J. J. Chater Ranch. The home was built in 1919 as a gift to a Mexican landowner to be used by her to sell to the Mexican railroad, but later used for cattle ranching and even became the home of actress Kate Millett’s mother. “For the benefit of the community, I purchased the ranch and offered to return it to its original function,” said J.J. Chater in an April 10 release. “I can guarantee that a person interested in acquiring the estate would obtain the required consent of the community prior to taking possession and that the home would be restored to its original function.”

The listing for Los Feliz’s 5,600-acre Lodi Ranch. The tract is near a gas station, gas station near a playground, playground, gas station, several restaurants, two churches, a playground, a high school and elementary school, several businesses–including a grocery store, a jewelry shop, a meat and eggs market, a pet store, a shoe repair shop, a beauty salon, a massage parlor–and a home. The ranch became a private private community with 14 single-family homes, and the home of an ex-husband is also near the ranch.

Also last month, “The Apprentice” actor Matt Damon is asking $1.1 million for the estate of his mother-in-law, Rosemary Gallman. Last Tuesday, he sent his agent, Rob Weinrich, a letter outlining the reasons why– and the $1.1 million figure is up for auction. Weinrich has been doing this for several months now, and he sold a home for $250,000 at the end of March. “I think Damon will do well by bidding,” said Weinrich. Last spring, the actor bought the former home of actress Connie Chung which she rented to the restaurant chain Yum-Yum in 2009. Damon also has a mansion in Chatsworth, a two-story house in Bel Air, a five-bedroom house near Beverly Center and another house in Hollywood.

Last week on “The Jeff Ross Show”, Ross noted that “everyone is going to love” his home in Beverly Hills, but “it’s still a mansion.” We don’t know what that means, but at least it’s on view.

In the U.S., Apple is still the leading hardware and software supplier and the sixth largest software company worldwide by revenue. Apple also happens to be the number one consumer electronics brand, according to Brand Finance. Apple already has over 2,000 hospitals and medical centers listed as test sites, and the number of healthcare facilities has been growing by more than half year-over-year for four consecutive years.” The Verge Apple Maps will replace search in Apple’s iOS 6 app this autumn, an update that will reportedly remove Google Maps integration entirely.” “With the introduction of iOS 6 for iPhones and iPads, Apple Maps will replace search in the App Store app store, a big move that will make the app a lot less of an integrated part of iPhone users’ mobile environment, meaning that Apple may be more inclined to focus on what it calls ‘iOS experiences.’ While a little bit of the mapping may be retained, Maps users will have less data to sift through, and will get less information from the app than they would get from Google Search or Microsoft Bing,” notes the Verge . “Apple is offering a new “Help Center” to help users stay safe and with their doctors,” says The Wall Street Journal, explaining why the new iOS maps apps are not yet showing up in iPhone users’ iTunes libraries. “If you go to the Apple menu, tap on ‘Help,’ and then ‘Apps, then Find & Try,’ you’ll be able to load the app and see a few things from the apps, like how the app has been used at the local Apple Store,” says ABC News . “Apple is the number one consumer electronics brand, according to Brand Finance.” More: Apple is still the leading hardware and software supplier and the sixth largest software company worldwide by revenue. Apple also happens to be the number one consumer electronics brand, according to Brand Finance.

And so the inevitable is happening: Apple is going to give us a whole lot of cool Google Maps goodies on our iPhone! The reason why I don’t think they should release them on the web at this point is twofold: first, it gives the impression that they have a better implementation than Google, and secondly (and the point of this rant) that they only made that sort of move in that one app. This point is hard to substantiate, or at least I never did (until now), but it’s on record as being the case.

As to what this means for us who don’t care enough to read about iPhone-related news, I’ll be the first to offer my opinion on if they truly think that’s so. Either way, I thought I’d share my thoughts with you all now.

The internet is like a giant, open-air laboratory for bad guys, so it’s no surprise that we’ve got our own version of what might be called viral warfare .

So I’ll be writing a long article later on how the NSA has tried to keep track of smartphone users and their location and other features over the years, and in an earlier article I talked a little about the problems with Google Maps for tracking people based on their location, and about how the NSA might be able to gain access to location information from the smartphone operating systems in order to track phones . That’s still the first part of a long piece, so lets just talk about the second part so we can start with what actually happened with smartphones and their tracking.

Back in 2007, when Google first launched YouTube, one of the things Google promised was that it would be safe, secure, and private to use. But Google and its partners went on to show that this promise was an imposter’s dream and the NSA’s global surveillance machine came to bear on both Google, its users, its partners, as well as users worldwide.

The NSA used this initial promise and took advantage of the inherent privacy and security in smartphones, with one of the most basic of rules that smartphones always ask for user authentication. So the first thing a smartphone asks for is for a username and password. This is so it knows if it’s already used the user’s real name and this is used to help users keep their real identity from being revealed, or worse yet, it could allow the NSA to access any private information that’s on the smartphone like whether someone is gay, cheating on someone, or simply trying to keep a low profile.

Another security measure that’s used for security purposes is that whenever you’ve authenticated, the device encrypts all private messages, such as “hello” or the number of your contact list. This ensures that when you enter your phone number, it is always private. And even in some cases we have seen the usage of this encryption: when I entered my phone number, but with the username that I used to authenticate, I was given a fake username to enter. Because my phone number was encrypted, I never had to reveal it. Just by typing in my phone and username together, I could send my password, which is the same as a lot of my other information, such as my email address via text. Because so many apps have this built in, it’s a simple way to use a generic phone number. As a security concern, most people don’t make it a habit to put their phone number into all of their apps, though this is still something that’s easy to do.

So when did smartphones start being a target for snooping? In a sense, all smartphones are always on, with every app running on every device. Even the latest smartphones have built-in microphones, flashlights, cameras and other sensors that are always pointed at them some more than others. This means if ever you try to find something by simply looking at a phone, you’ll find yourself with a list of contacts and conversations that you can track. However, if you turn on location services, it also acts as additional privacy feature by asking for permission and adding local storage as a location.

Now to be fair, I’ve written before about why the government is constantly looking for ways to track and snoop on people, and by using technologies like location services can often get around most of it. But the point stands this is an absolute threat to user privacy, and there are lots of ways to reduce it. Unfortunately, the government hasn’t taken action either in the way it’s done to date.

The US Congress just passed a bill called the Protecting Children from Internet Pornographers Act. It is an attempt to ban adult websites from accessing your web history, and the fact that the bill specifically mentions “candy bars and games” in regards to web cookies only shows that the fact this is a backdoor way to access things that the government wants is only going to increase. Even Apple has come out and acknowledged that this is going to help government agencies hack things. It’s going to further make it more difficult for people to remain anonymous online, and make it much easier for the government to gain access to their data and information.

So let’s return to my first question: Why would it be necessary for the government to have access to your location in the first place?

What I have discovered in being a student of history is that the first world wars are the reason we have government surveillance powers. They started out being just a way to spy, and have turned into more of an arms race. In the last hundred years, the powers to spy on people have only grown, and they are still using it in different ways today than they did back then and I think this is a really big issue in human history. Because of it, at all times and all places, the right to privacy has always been considered the “inalienable right” and is also the

For a start, it’s absolutely packed full of well-known names. I’ve seen a few interviews, and he was quoted as saying the best performers on the show are those of Irish heritage , and in particular, those of Irish descent.

The main draw for me though has been the cast the character he leads. The acting on display is nothing short of breathtaking. The young actors bring out an authentic Irishness and charisma that really stands out to me. A lot of fans might not agree, but I find his portrayal of Frank Darabont, as a troubled young Dubliner, to be a very compelling character. I found the dialogue to be very moving and authentic, and I enjoyed the fact that I wasn’t watching a straight man on a show that was predominantly straight male characters.

If you’re going to take a look at it, I highly recommendthe “The Show of Shows” - a website which aims to provide reviews of shows in their entirety, and which I encourage people to check out as their own personal showcase of what really makes good television.

On a final note, the show does have a distinct influence on the way I think about shows in general. One thing I’ve noticed is, the more stories and subplots are involved, the “borrowed” ideas and creative input is harder to track down as it gets dragged out and pushed into the background of the story.

I won’t hold this against the show in and of itself though. My favourite episode of the first season is one called “Rumpole Bumblebee” (the pilot episode), and in particular, there is a subplot of a gang of bobbies looking for a murder victim that seems to be nothing as bad as it seems. They find one, after an event far outside the show’s usual focus, and a quick investigation leads to the discovery that this murder could have been committed by a local drug cartel. The gang is looking for this very type of subplot, but instead they get a far more compelling one!

So, that’ll do it for me - “ Game of Thrones “ is a great show for anyone who is in the mood for something exciting and well run. A great, well acted show which I found to be very interesting, and with a strong cast that would be able to work well together as a unit. It’s a shame that it doesn’t seem to go anywhere, however, as the show seems set to continue for several seasons and I think it’ll be more interesting to see what comes after the Season 7 end.

The team is made up of professional actors and/or directors like: Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Amy Adams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Idris Elba. I feel the inclusion of these artists lends to the film, and adds to the mystery to what is really happening that night in the woods. The rest of the cast is really solid. They capture the intensity of the character; the darkness is perfect for the subject matter. Everyone has their individual qualities and this gives the film a cohesive feel to its content. I was definitely fascinated by a few of the female characters, but I felt the film could have been even better and more intense had the males been explored more. The two leads also seem to be a good fit for each other. As it is, they both display their strengths and weaknesses well. It’s a very tense battle film based on real life events and there are some great moments along the way. The plot is good and it manages a lot of things for fans of action movies and mystery. Characters move and react very well, despite some moments of screen time that could have been cut. The plot is solid, and I really feel as though the film could have benefited from a bit more pacing, but it doesn’t detract at all.

9.5/10

The film is well paced with plenty of action, characters, and humor. The movie could have benefitted from a bit more direction but I feel as though they were able to do a good job on the story. The visuals are great and provide a good contrast for the character and the story. The dialogue is great and the dialogue seems to be of a more mature tone than the actual performances but the actors manage a good job on delivering the lines, even while going through some difficult situations. I do wish an ending to this film would have extended for a bit more though but I’m not bitter that there was no resolution. The film should be looked forward to and enjoy the journey, but if you don’t you may just be disappointed.

“I want to be loved. I want to be accepted.”

If you haven’t seen this film have a look at my previous review for The World’s End , which is a solid, action filled thriller . I still think it has its points.

What if they had released another expansion this year to try and get people playing new content? It’s not like their last expansion, ExoMars, brought people into PvE games and boosted the overall population. Bungie could have released something that put players in PvE dungeons and dungeons to try out new weapons/items/items that they never played before! This could have been part of a wider strategy to get more people playing the new raids, Trials, and story mode missions. What do you think when you hear one of your friends complain about how the new Raid just wasn’t enough for them? I hear the same things from players. When you put a raid out with an insane difficulty level of 40 we all know we are going to have a hard time getting through it just because there are so many different paths through it and we are constantly moving from one room to the next just to try and finish the raid. It’s like the “easy to play, hard to master” genre, only instead where there are so many different mechanics there you either have to learn it or give up on it.

So where does the “easy to play, hard to master” genre come from? It’s not so much people “licking their heals” because there’s a lot more to it than that at least. Some of us are just lazy and we don’t want to play stuff that we find boring, or just not as exciting. We also tend not to push ourselves to the very top of our class and race, just because that means failure. With the new raid this year I was surprised that there weren’t more people competing in a specific raid. I know that when I was grinding in the new raid it wasn’t like there were no other players competing. Even if you don’t really care about the details of raiding you want to enjoy the action and feel like a badass because you have to. So I find it kind of funny that you see the community compete in the raid and then talk about how “weak” the raid is compared to other raids. They can compete at lower end level PvE, but if you look around there seems to just be no one really pushing harder than the other people who are competing. I guess that’s how I feel about the raid. It’s not my favorite raid regardless but I’ll watch a bunch of people playing and trying to beat someone up and get their ass kicked just because they don’t care about anything else in the world besides winning (or at least more than they care about destroying the person else’s shit). I could go on about it, but that’s it for this quick post. Stay tuned for Part 2, but for now I’ll leave you with this. It’s time I finally put aside all the negativity the community has thrown my way and just try and get back into the good, old-fashioned, hard to master Destiny-ness. I really like playing and have a lot of fun with all of these weapons. I don’t want you feeling like I’m cheating if you don’t finish the new raid because I am the same as everybody else and maybe a bit better. I’m here to prove that Bungie is wrong and that they need to reconsider.

I hope you enjoyed this little slice of Destiny 2 lore, but I wanted to bring up a bigger topic here just in case people are still worried about the raid. If you haven’t checked out my podcast you can find it here

__ Tesla’s New Model S P100D: How It Works In case you missed it, heres how it all works. Tesla has decided to drop almost 90,000 pounds off the weight of the new P100D sedan and take the best of what the Model X was so far and add weight to it. If you look back at all of the press material from the launch weekend, its pretty clear that the design was done for the most extreme performance possible. It looks like someone went to full-out 4:2:0 and tried to match the S’s weight. Yes, the P100D will have a much stronger track that the Model X thanks to the added weight, but it may not have the best track that the Model X has to offer. This cars purposeto reach a peak of over 1,100 miles per gallon in under five minutes! That is a very short order. There are going to be a few cars coming out with this same weight, and I wont even go there, because they’ll be just as ugly. We are looking at a car that does what Toyota and other automakers were doing with the S1, and that’s what its going to be like. You ll get to drive a Tesla in just one minute and 20 seconds, and if youre looking for the ultimate electric car, the P100D looks like the way to go.

P100D vs. S1 Model X The key element between the P100D and the S1 is that while the Model X has been a huge success, it is simply not a practical electric vehicle yet. Even with Tesla’s large orders, it will be well into the 2020s before the first model ships. With fewer than 1,500 Model 3 reservations and just a few hundred for the P100D, if Tesla can get the car mass-produced and sold, the P100D may not have to wait that long. As for whether the P100D will deliver on that promise, wed like to see data on the P100D over its first three years of ownership, to learn as much about the vehicle as possible, to better understand what its like to actually use the car. In the end, it may just be that the S1 may be the better alternative to the current P100D, and Tesla could easily sell the car for around $70,000 to $100,000. But just as importantly, it will reveal the Tesla DNA that was clearly built into the P100D before it was made and still lives on in other designs like the Model X and the Model 3.
